 Elizabeth C.

Elizabeth C.

When this hip grandmother steps into the kitchen, out comes some of the best local-flavored desserts you will ever taste. From spicy and savory nasi lemak and laksa cookies, to sweet heartland favorites such as ondeh-ondeh cupcakes, Elizabeth puts a local twist into her baking. She says: "It is indeed a blessing to be able to turn raw ingredients into lovely bakes that bring happiness to people. This drives me to constantly innovate and create traditional style bakes for others." Nothing beats grandma's recipes!

JoanNalyn

You can call her the queen of experimentation. The more creative the task, the better. Joannalyn loves piecing together some of the most unique designs and flavors you can imagine. Soccer-themed birthday cakes with playing boots on top or cheesecake macarons with a navy-blue color, this perfectionist makes the magic happen. She says: "I always saw baking as something magical. You have to spend a lot of time studying different combinations - and one tiny mistake would ruin everything!"

She puts her passion for baking before all else. Natalie was not interested to take the conventional road in life. Instead, she decided that her journey would be a "cakewalk". The artisanal baker left home for London to join Le Cordon Bleu, one of the top baking schools in the world, where she would hone her craft in customized desserts. She says: "I love how much happiness there is whenever there is cake. Seeing the smiles my pastries bring to people puts joy and meaning back into my life".

Let them bring a smile to you.
